Hello! Jen Carver here from Banner Events, and I’m excited to share some fun classroom valentines ideas for kids. Valentine’s Day brings back so many fun memories from my childhood! I still remember the excitement that surrounded choosing the valentines I would pass out to my classmates and the coordinating treat or trinket that I would pair with them. It was an annual tradition that I looked forward to. Flash forward to Valentine’s Day as a parent and I still enjoy the tradition of celebrating friendship and love! I love helping my children choose their Valentine’s Day cards. This year I partnered with Minted. Their huge selection of unique classroom valentines appealed to my children’s varied interests. They loved perusing Minted’s website, similar to how I used to enjoy walking up and down the valentine card aisle at the local grocery store looking for that perfect card. I’m sharing a handful of my favorite classroom valentine ideas for kids, along with some cute packaging ideas. *aff
1. “Valentine, I only have fries for you”.
There are so many cute things you can pair with this fun valentine card and the clever play on words. We picked wrapping up fries and a burger from our local fast food place. But, you could make sugar cookie fries and a burger inspired cupcake. Or, you could wrap up gummy burgers and fries or erasers shaped like burgers and fries. Sending your card via the mail? How about including a gift card to your favorite fast food restaurant for purchasing fries?
2. “Let’s stick together.”
How cute is this hockey themed valentine card for the sports/hockey enthusiast? There are different colorways to choose from making it completely customizable for a girl or a boy. We thought it would be fun to include an edible “puck”–really a Hostess Ding Dong unwrapped and then re-packaged in a clear cellophane bag with a coordinating sticker label.
This clever valentine will surely bring a smile to recipients’ faces. Mini whoopee cushions were a great find on Oriental Trading’s website and a humorous addition to this year’s Valentine’s Day cards.
Everyone can stand to be reminded of just how “jawsome” they really are. We used gummy sharks from Amazon, and Swedish Fish from Walmart to coordinate with these sharp cards! Bakers twine and glassine cookie bags are the perfect combination.
You’re sure to strike it big with bowling themed valentines this year! Check out these 4 different non-candy ideas that would make for a perfect classroom valentine! Attach the cards to a toy bowling set. Or, how about adding a bowling pin stress toy? Package up a tabletop bowling set, or gift a bowling pin pen! No gutter balls this Valentine’s Day!
