If you’re looking for a unique way to celebrate your favorite dads this year, you’ll love this creative “CrawDAD” Father’s Day cookout planned and styled by Just a little Sparkle. Focusing her party plans around what a lot of men like, she built her designs on beer, food and fun! A crab boil became the concept upon which she centered all of the printable designs, food, decorations, treats and favors. Check out the beautiful images captured by Megan Long Photography.
As the initial design concept was being pieced together, Alyssa chose to incorporate newspaper, Kraft paper and a red and navy color palette. She designed a newspaper print that matched the theme and could be incorporated throughout the entire party for continuity.
As guests entered the celebration space, they were welcomed by shepherd hooks with rope glass lanterns from Kate Aspen. Each held sand and tea lights inside.
The dining table setup included monogrammed napkins made by Great Stitch which served as the foundation for each guest’s place setting. Inside each bucket was a bib, wet wipe, utensils with tiny vinyl crab & lobster decals by Classy Detailed Events, personalized Crab Mallets by J.O. Spices, and personalized Beer Koozies by Vinyl Eloquence. All of these were on each plate that Create UR Plate customized just for this party with the crab image designed by Alyssa. The table was also adorned with some decorative items like blue vintage votives, white lanterns, melted butter dishes & spices by J.O. Spice.
With a Craw DAD Cookout you have to have crab, right?! So here is a fun way to set up a table scape for your food and drinks. For the drinks,Alyssa decorated them with rope and used rugby striped straws from Kate Aspen. Also included on the table was a fun navy stripe Mason jar from Just add glitter by Marla.
The kids’ table was very similar to the adult table with some extra fun elements added. Isn’t the mini crab piñata and the candy wands made by Lisa Frank Parties adorable? Alyssa made the tiny boats that held colored candies and gum. Vinyl decals on the drinks and galvanized buckets were by Classy Detailed Events.
The gorgeous dessert table had lots of fun items for all ages. Alyssa wanted to stick with a the crab boil theme by having coordinating desserts. I love the adorable corn on the cob and beer cake pops by Stick a Cake in it. Bella’s Bakery & Bowtique made the chocolate covered Oreos with custom newsprint design and a little chocolate crab on them. Alyssa also served up cupcakes with a tiny chocolate crab added and placed inside striped baking cups from The TomKat Studio. The yummy pretzel rods and super cute lobster pretzels were by Sugar & Spiked Inc. Auntie Bea’s Bakery made the corn on the cob, beer, lemon and crab claw cookies. The kids enjoyed playing with the faux crab claws. Using small gable boxes Alyssa put together S’more kits. The red and white mason jar used for the flowers was made by Just add glitter by Marla. Alyssa added some texture to the table by layering the table cloths. The cute banner was by Lisa T Creations. Miscellaneous decor was borrowed from Sweet Jelly Parties. The navy and white stripe table cloth was from Bateson’s Boutique.
