Teacher and Neighbor Christmas Gift IdeasComing up with new and creative Christmas gifts for teachers and neighbors can sometimes be difficult.  But, we’ve rounded up a slew of clever ideas perfect for creating for that special teacher, beloved coach or favorite neighbors.  Plus, at the end of the post, be sure to enter to win a free teacher gift from The TomKat Studio!

When it comes to thanking teachers, a little effort goes a long way!  Many teachers will tell you there is no pressure or expectation to buy teachers gifts. Many parents do, however, so we interviewed some teachers to find out what they love to receive.

1) A card simply saying “thank you” for all that they do is so appreciated, especially when it comes from a student.  Many parents thank teachers often, but a heartfelt thanks from a child is one that teachers will long remember.

2) Gift cards are always a great choice!  Whether it be a Starbucks Card, Target Card, or one towards dinner or a movie out with their family, teachers love gift cards.  If you know your child’s teacher well, picking up a gift card to their favorite store or coffee shop is a wonderful idea!

3) DIY gifts that include favorite items or snacks are thoughtful!

4) Supplies. Some schools have small budgets, and many teachers spend a lot out of their own pockets. Check to see if your child’s teacher has a wish list at any of their favorite supply stores.

5) Small gift for teacher’s hobby.  If you know the teacher’s hobby, a small gift that relates to their hobby is very thoughtful.

6) Bags/totes.  Teachers carry all sorts of things at any given time, making a stylish bag or tote a great gift.
